Notes for LOCKEY VIRGINIA BOUCHER:

My grandmother, Pearly Ophelia Perry Stallings, said her father, William Riley Perry, a young teenager, approx. 14 yrs old at the time, was walking home once when it began raining. He stopped at the Bouchers’ home seeking shelter from the rain, where Lockey Virginia Boucher, a baby at the time was in a cradle which “Riley” casually began rocking. Mr Boucher, reportedly, said, “Boy! You can have her if you want her.” And that, in essence, was what happened….William

Riley Perry waited until “Lockey” was old enough, and married her.
